What is the Rotavirus Study about?
The Rotavirus vaccine works well to provide protection from the virus in high-income countries, it does not work as well in middle to low income countries. Our research is looking into why this happens. We are interested in the role of early life exposures such as breast milk and infant nutrition in how the gut microbiome is formed. We are also interested the role that the gut microbome plays in how well the Rotavirus vaccine works.
