Flu Breastfeeding Study

What is the Flu Breastfeeding Study about? 

​

Influenza is the cause of large morbidity and mortality, with an estimated 36,000 deaths and over 200,000 hospitalizations per year in the US alone. We are studying how mothers can help protect her newborn infants by receiving the flu vaccine.  We would like to learn more about how breastfeeding helps provide protection against viruses and other infections.

Who can participate: 

• Mothers (≥18 years of age) of infants < 6 months of age who are breastfeeding 

• Mothers who have NOT yet received the Flu vaccine

​

Compensation: 

You will receive compensation for your time and effort for each visit.
